Assuming that each description of taste by means of colours derives from the colour of the food itself, the colour of the animal or plant and from the surroundings of these two raw materials, a survey was carried out and showed that this was in fact true.

Proved true a visual assistance „Visual Orientated Colour-Taste-Squares“ (VOCTS) were created – small colour squares that in a whole portray a taste, food or meal. 

Consequently, a visual description of food and meals is now possible. The VOCTS can serve as a help concerning navigation and orientation for food products.
